As Managing Director of Operations, Matthew leads the firm’s client operations, reporting, and trading functions, with a focus on building scalable processes that support consistent, high‑quality client outcomes. He develops and leads a high‑performing operations team while driving strategic initiatives across core systems and partnering with key vendors to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and enhance the end‑to‑end client and advisor experience.
Matthew is motivated by building a high-performing environment rooted in trust, clear communication, and team development. He finds fulfillment in helping others grow and is driven to design simple, effective workflows that enhance both the client experience and advisory team performance.

Experience

  • Brings over 10 years of experience supporting ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients from an operations, trading, and reporting perspective, with deep expertise in post‑trade processing, data accuracy, client reporting, and operational risk management
  • Served in senior leadership roles at Lake Street Advisors, including Chief Compliance Officer, with responsibility for compliance, operations, and technology, and as a contributor to firm‑wide operational strategy and platform decisions
  • Previously spent nearly a decade at Bank of New York Mellon managing accounting, reconciliation, and reporting functions for a large New York‑based credit hedge fund, working closely with portfolio managers, administrators, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

  • B.S. in Finance, Bentley College
  • Level III Candidate for CFA Program

Beyond SCS

Matthew lives in Maine, with his wife, Jessica, their two children, Hudson and Gracelynn, and their dog, Striper. Outside of work, the family enjoys traveling, exploring New England, and spending time outdoors. Matt is an active community volunteer, coaching boys travel soccer with the Marshwood program and supporting his children as they explore new interests—from sports to school and community activities. A devoted Michigan Wolverines fan, he rarely misses an opportunity to cheer on his team—Go Blue!
