David Mieczkowski, PhD
Managing Director – Investments
David joined SCS Financial Services in 2016 and has 15 years of experience working in the investment business. As a Managing Director in the Investment Group he is responsible for setting Asset Allocation & Macro Strategy, is a portfolio manager for fixed income, credit, and absolute return hedge funds, and is a member of the Investment Committee. In addition, he serves on the advisory board of AgAmerica Lending – the nation’s largest alternative farm lender. Prior to joining SCS, David was a senior quantitative strategist for Fidelity Investments’ Strategic Advisers group where he advised on asset allocation, fixed income portfolio construction, and business cycle modeling. He was also a Vice President and research head at FactSet Research Systems, where he oversaw a quantitative research team that developed advanced fixed income analytics and multi-asset class risk models for the firm. Before his career in investments, David worked in academia as a research fellow and lecturer. He has taught at SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Old Westbury, and Penn State University. He holds a BS with Honors in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, a PhD in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University.
